4th of July parades create Republicans

I realize this is not following the last posts, but I found this to be interesting:

I watched "Hillbillies" on the History Channel last night and it was quite interesting. One segment was about the coal miners in WV trying to unionize. Let's remember, without unions the mines would still be as bad as China's. With unions, they're still too dangerous because mine owners try to get around regulations.

Anyhow, when asked about losing a union battle, one miner's elderly wife said, "Well, you have to try."

And that's what liberals do. They keep trying and sometimes winning, while the neocons continue to work on legislation to treat workers as if they were slaves.

Get rid of minimum wage!
Call out the military. Kill them Bolshies!

And it's just been discovered that the Massey Mines, that killed 29 miners, were cited over 1300 times for safety violations.

Oh, and yesterday:

MSHA: Massey Energy kept two sets of safety books

BEAVER, W.Va. --

The owner of the West Virginia coal mine where an explosion killed 29 men last year kept two sets of books on safety conditions — an accurate one for itself and a sanitized one for the government, federal regulators said Wednesday.

Managers at Massey Energy pressured workers at the Upper Big Branch mine to omit safety problems from the official set of reports, said Mine Safety and Health Administration official Kevin Stricklin.

Workers told investigators that the company wanted to avoid scrutiny from inspectors and keep coal production running smoothly.

Hughie Elbert Stover Arrested: Massey Official Indicted For Obstructing Mine Disaster Probe

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — The security chief of a Massey Energy Co. subsidiary is charged in a federal indictment with obstructing the investigation of a 2010 explosion that killed 29 miners at the company's Upper Big Branch Mine in southern West Virginia, federal prosecutors said Monday.

The indictment accuses Hughie Elbert Stover, 60, of lying to an FBI agent and a federal Mine Safety and Health Administration inspector. It also charges he ordered an employee to dispose of thousands of pages of security documents from the Raleigh County mine more than nine months after the explosion.

The April 5 blast was the deadliest at a U.S. coal mine since 1970 and remains the subject of criminal and civil investigations. Stover is the first person connected to the case known to be charged with a crime.

Really? Despise American history? You're serious?

Let me throw another broad brush insult back at you. Perhaps it is only conservatives who are so easily swayed by patriotic fervor and emotion that they forget their intellect to the degree where parades are able to convince them of a particular political persuasion.

There. Now you can respond to that broad brush statement.

First off, I dont need a damn parade to know what I am celebrating on the 4th of July. Most don't. Those that need the parades, have lost the meaning of the day to start with. I'm with Viking, show me the parades that show the Republican part or the parades that show the democrat parts. What happened to celebrating the day for what it is. LEAVE THE DAMN POLITICS OUT OF IT. IT IS NOT ABOUT POLITICS.

Hey, you keep playing with the game pieces you have, and we'll keep playing the ones we have.... Let's see how far your message of hate, selfishness, bigotry, and screwing the seniors works for you.

Actually I do expect Obama to use your talking points as his main message in 2012, not running on his horrible economic record, or even empty campaign promises, he will instead pump up the evil capitalist monster balloon.
