I don't get it, we use coupons - sometimes one for every item we buy. If they're for a store, we just use 'em in that store. Some are manufacturer's coupons from the paper. It doesn't take much time for the checker to scan each coupon - maybe a minute for a big shopping trip. We also buy lots of what's on sale and store it in the pantry... Some people do that for some Armageddon fantasy, but we just like paying a buck for a package of spaghetti rather than two bucks. We've got growing boys, we need cheap food

It saves considerable money, and I don't see anything wrong with that - the stores are the ones printing the coupons in the first place.

There is a new sort of trend in business to get rid of 'unsavory' customers. I think they are stupid to do it in the way that they are. Sort of like they are fighting them now or it is customer's fault. Walmart is stupid anyway.

I've seen that extreme couponers show - it sickens me. This is just a new form of hoarding, except they are hoarding stuff that will go bad in 6 months to two years - and it's a great deal of money just thrown away, even if they did coupon it to death.

Yeah, I have a pantry, too, but not so much that it will never get used and will go bad first. Yeah, I'll go to Sam's club and buy bulk on some items, but I don't buy 50 of the same thing - that's just nuts.

Hoarding items that can be used again and again, and will still be good decades from now, while it is still clearly an illness, I can see and understand a bit. But the hoarding of food like those people it just makes me ill to see so much potential waste. They have enough food to feed their whole family for two years, and yet they keep buying more? Ahhhh! Blame my grandparents for teaching me not to waste like that.

saving money by buying something you won't use, or don't use on a regular basis just because you have a coupon is a huge waste of money! One thing I do, because I forget about my coupons is I go to King Soopers website and download to my card all the coupons of stuff I might use...then when I go shopping, if I happen to buy that brand and that product I automatically get the coupon added...easy on the purse, brain and pocketbook! A lot of coupons don't do me that much good because I tend to buy the stuff to make food from scratch and meats and veggies just don't seem to have coupons much!

A lot of the coupons I see reduce the price on the name brands that I don't buy, but still not to the level of the generic that I do buy.

So, I just pass on them.

I use the electronic KS coupons too and I buy their generic brand much of the time because it is great.

I saw one extreme coupon show and they gave it all away to a military charity I believe. That was cool.

My deal the other day was:

I bought two Victoria Secret Limited Edition rhinestone hot pink bras that sold for $250 (crazy!) each for only $15.99 each. Instead of $500 it cost me $32 for two BEAUTIFUL bras. That was a discount of almost 94%!!!!!! I was thrilled to say the least. And yes, I still used a $10 coupon I had. I LOVE COUPONS and I hate to pay retail.......EVER!
