Boise, Idaho -- She was banned from every Walmart in the United States for life, and it was all because of an argument over coupons.

April Cuevas says Walmart has started "cracking down" on extreme couponers like herself who want to use coupons from other stores to save money.

Cuevas says she was told that Walmart's "Ad Match" policy had changed late last week, and asked to speak with a store manager so she could better understand why. She decided to record the interchange -- which quickly became an argument -- with her iPhone.

Is this a Walmart/Pinecam thing?

I don't know, I haven't been banned from Walmart yet, AFAIK.

What crime exactly did she commit? I'm truly baffled.

Secretly videotaping the Walmart employee I guess. Seems like it would be a public relations nightmare. Shes stated she wants an apology and she wants to be able to shop at Walmart. That's just stupid. If the damned store banned me, much like a local website, I would make it my business to tell everyone I knew so they WOULDN'T shop there.

I heard Kings is going after extreme couponers too by limiting how many they can use. I know coupon crazies do slow up the checkout line for others, but if I was a grocery store, I would be publicising how much money people are saving at our stores in this bad economy.

Theres a show on some cable channel about these extreme couponers who can shut a checkout lane for a long time, get $1000 worth of stuff and pay less than $20. Imagine what would happen if 20% of customers did this...I would just start ordering food online to avoid setting up a tent in the store. I told my wife this show would cause stores to change coupon policies, there is no way they could stay in business if too many coupon crazies came in and pillaged the shelves for next to nothing.

It's not illegal, but it won't be possible much longer imo.
