Shouldn't they wait at least for the Republicans to pick a nominee? lol
And they plan to bill each teacher $10 each, no matter what their politics to spend on Obama's re-election campaign. Looks like Barack will reach that billion dollars afterall, how many public school teachers are out there?

Truly uncalled for. We have quite a few teachers in our family. They work hard (often 12hr. days) , pay for school supplies out of their own pockets, and always put the kids first. They are often ill served by the NEA and certainly do not deserve to be demonized.

Yes, it is the teachers union that is the biggest problem in our education system not so much the teachers.
I recall out of all the teachers I had in grade and high school only a select few stand out as anything special.
95% of all teachers are way over rated and way over compensated for the services they provide- they are not the heroes everybody makes them out to be.
Teachers are a BIG part of the problems we know exist in our education system- they are self serving through the teachers union and they fight against every effort to reform the system- of course they are at fault.
Our kids would not be in such poor a poor educational condition if they had good teachers.
I support keeping good teachers and firing bad ones. I think many start out in the first 10 years of teaching actually wanting to teach- the second 10 years they sink into mediocrity- this is when they should be fired and replaced. The third 10 years is all working the system and padding their retirement benefits until the taxpayers pay them more to retire than what they made as teachers.
I'm sorry you had such a bad school experience. Both of my children had many teachers who touched their lives, yes some they didn't like too much. They saw what they were capable of and kicked their butts to achieve it. There were a few burn outs, but not many in the overall count. There are burn outs, bums and opportunists in every line of work. In my experience there are fewer in the teaching profession than any other.

But thanks to the NEA, the burnouts in teaching are given jobs for life. In non-union jobs, the burnouts are forced to find something else to do.
And how bad is the NEA about giving Barack an endorsement already? Wouldn't it be better to negotiate your endorsement as the election got closer?

You are right, there are bad employees in every other kind of work. The difference being, POS employees in the private sector (non unionized) can be flushed instantly, were as a teacher pretty much has to molest a student before they can be fired.
The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
