Pappy has an opinion on this verdict... Posted in the Ring, too much cussing.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

She might have more money, but guilt is a terrible thing to carry around with you. When she closes her eyes at night she WILL have to face the memories of her daughter and what she did to her. There isn't enough money in the entire world that would make me want to feel that for even a minute of my life. But hey, that's just me.

Just FYI, sociopaths have no remorse, guilt or conscience. They do not have ability to love either. She is not going to feel bad about this. This is why they are so good at lying. It does not even occur to them that anyone is hurt. This will surprise a regular person but, if she truly is a sociopath she will move on without a care in the world. I know it sounds impossible but it is true.

Would a sociopath have cried at an innocent verdict? Just seems like that didn't match this diagnosis. I didn't follow this at all - is it possible that she is innocent?

Sociopaths are all about themselves. She could cry for herself, if she is indeed a sociopath.

Casey Anthony and her advisers are putting a lot of thought into her release from prison Wednesday.

A source close to the Anthony team shared this with me Monday:

This is a good article and I have to agree there was no way they could convict her of murder beyond a reasonable doubt. However, anyone that does not report their child missing for a month is certainly guilty of child abuse. That is the one I cannot seem to wrap my head around.

The standard is proof beyond a reasonable doubt, even if it's 'likely' or 'probable' that she committed murder.

A criminal trial is never about seeking justice for the victim. If it were, there could be only one verdict: guilty. That's because only one person is on trial in a criminal case, and if that one person is acquitted, then by definition there can be no justice for the victim in that trial.
