She might have more money, but guilt is a terrible thing to carry around with you. When she closes her eyes at night she WILL have to face the memories of her daughter and what she did to her. There isn't enough money in the entire world that would make me want to feel that for even a minute of my life. But hey, that's just me.

Just FYI, sociopaths have no remorse, guilt or conscience. They do not have ability to love either. She is not going to feel bad about this. This is why they are so good at lying. It does not even occur to them that anyone is hurt. This will surprise a regular person but, if she truly is a sociopath she will move on without a care in the world. I know it sounds impossible but it is true.

I just don't think she is capable of feeling "guilt" like you, or me or any of us would. I think she is really a sociopath; and sociopaths, by definition, don't feel guilt, or empathy, or any of the other emotions that act as a behavior barrier to normal people...

(Of course, I think about half of the right-wingers on this board are sociopaths, so that's not saying much... )

Edited to add: Wow, CG... "Great minds" ... I think we posted the same idea simultaneously...

Don't ever underestimate the stupidity and trashyness of the average American. Just look at the Republican candidates for president and our popular tv shows

And don't forget the current POTUS (and Democratic candidate).

And I know it brings some people comfort to believe in Karma, or to think that she'll burn in hell or something after she dies.. but she probably won't, and there's a good chance she'll live happily ever after.
