I do believe they have, Obama has actually proposed further cuts in spending than the Republicans, but it included an increase in taxes for the top 1%.......Republicans have compromised on nothing.conifermtman wrote:

Why can't Democrats ever compromise on spending?

Start listing all those cuts he has proposed. Everyone would like to know what they are. Everyone want specifics on this.
http://money.cnn.com/2011/04/13/news/ec ... /index.htmObama: Ready for 'tough cuts'
His new debt plan takes the blockbuster spending cuts working their way through Congress, embraces them, and then cuts even more.
And we all know how easy that was.
Obama's new plan doesn't name programs or services to be cut, but
calls for a reduction of more than $1 trillion in non-security spending over 12 years.
Discretionary accounts, which require annual funding from Congress, will be hardest hit. Obama would reduce spending in that small part of the budget by a total of $770 billion. An additional $360 billion would be stripped from mandatory accounts.
The whole plan, which includes reforms to the tax code, as well as entitlement programs like Medicare and Medicaid, would cut $4 trillion in deficits.

There are a lot of differing articles on this on the web if you care to look, the Republicans did not like the 4 trillion number and are looking at more like 1.5 trillion in cuts. What's up with that?

Where are the specifics? Is it because Obama is full of hot air as usual?
