Did Norway shooter inject bullets with poison?
Manifesto reveals killer's intent to put nicotine in ammunition, media reports claim

Anders Behring Breivik planned to inject poison into ammunition before launching his murderous assaults in Norway, British press reported Tuesday.

Norwegian authorities have not confirmed that the 32-year-old man behind Norway's worst post-World War II atrocity carried out the threat. At least 76 people died in Friday's attacks.

In a chilling 1,500-page manifesto emailed to recipients across Europe before the attack, Breivik mentioned his intent to inject lethal doses of liquid nicotine into bullets ensuring that every shot delivered a deadly blow, U.K.'s Daily Mail reported.

"I’ve now ordered 50ml — 99 percent pure liquid nicotine from a Chinese online supplier," Breivik wrote in his manifesto last year, the Mail reported. It included, "3-4 drops will be injected in hollow point rifle bullets, which will effectively turn it into a lethal chemical weapon."

OK, my disclaimer. I know very little about stuff you can do with bullets. And I only reply because I watched a George Clooney movie last night; "The American". So it's like I stayed at a Hampton Inn.

In that movie, he drilled holes in bullets and put mercury in them. My first reaction was that mercury is a poison, so that's why he used it. But thinking about it for 5 sec it seemed even if the bullet still worked with the mercury, the mercury would cause an extreamly slow death over months or years, if even that, or none at all. But looking it up, I see it might work because it can spread the range of damage as the bullet expands (nothing to do with poison), assuming everything is perfect. And even that seems speculative.

So now I see nicotine in a bullet. Is that worse than mercury? I did a quick search and don't see anything about it, other than a reference to the Norway attack.

I'm not going after anyone about this. I just don't get it yet. Maybe we'll get more details later? Nicotine (maybe in huge dose it causes heart damage or something)? Or was the guy just crazy as hell?

Why not just use spider venom?
