The FDA is NUTS!

Our ever expanding government is looking out for us big time! The FDA now wants to classify walnuts as a drug (guess I better hide my stash )

Maybe this is just another job creation strategy....who wants to be a federal nut inspector?

Seen any walnuts in your medicine cabinet lately? According to the Food and Drug Administration, that is precisely where you should find them. Because Diamond Foods made truthful claims about the health benefits of consuming walnuts that the FDA didn’t approve, it sent the company a letter declaring, “Your walnut products are drugs” — and “new drugs” at that — and, therefore, “they may not legally be marketed … in the United States without an approved new drug application.” The agency even threatened Diamond with “seizure” if it failed to comply.

Overstepping where it isn't needed or wanted.

Trying to impose a national government in place of a federal one. I really liked the final sentence of the article:

Besides, as Faloon observed, “If anyone still thinks that federal agencies like the FDA protect the public, this proclamation that healthy foods are illegal drugs exposes the government’s sordid charade.”

Where are the big government defenders on this one? I want to hear the "logic".

I did'nt read this garbage, only the title, but what you ignorant crackers need to do is go back and look at the world before the FDA and the EPA. We don't have to speculate what the world would be like without them, we already know because we've been there and done that..... and it wasn't pretty... It's called history guys, look into it
