Look how much government Obama is creating compared to FDR

"In all, of the 32 positions in Beck’s list, only eight are Obama-appointed, unconfirmed, brand new czars."

And is the basis of the statistics stated. But according to you the article makes meaningless what the article states.

lol I can agree with that about FactCheck....

Don't see how you got to that conclusion....the whole article pretty much debunked the idea that czars are anything new, or special, or out of the ordinary for any and all presidents. And, trying to compare number of czars from one president to the next, or make a big deal about how many so-called czars exist under any president, serves no purpose other than to make something out of nothing. Surely there are more important issues to get all riled up about. or not.

33% more government is never a good thing; and, if the news media knew how to calculate numbers, their heads would explode over the spending increases of the current administration.

I guess I shouldn't have thrown the czars in there. It is all people are talking about. What about the much bigger issue? 159 new government run boards and commisions in one bill. Bush only added 22 in the Patriot Act and people had a cow and they still won't let that go. Obama is out of control with all the government takeovers and new Govrnment run agencis, commissions, boards, and czars. Pretty soon, we will have to get permission from a board that was designated by an agency that was chosen by a commission that was appointed by Obama, to tell us how many squares of toilet paper we can use per dump before they start to tax us extra for a tree tax.

Yea, no one is talking about how Salazar took the Minerals Management Division, renamed and made three new bureaucracies and put an Ivy Leaguer attorney in charge of the new bureau.

Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar today swore-in former Justice Department Inspector General Michael Bromwich to lead the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement.

Ivy league attorney -- ha.

According to a White House biography, Bromwich is a partner at law firm Fried Frank with expertise in organizational oversight. He served from 2002-2008 as the independent monitor for the District of Columbia's police department, ensuring compliance with civil rights and other laws.

Bromwich was the Justice Department's inspector general from 1994-1999 and before that was a federal prosecutor. Among other cases he was a courtroom lawyer in the trial of former White House aide Oliver North in the Iran-Contra scandal of illegal U.S. funding for Nicaraguan rebels. He also oversaw the investigation into the misconduct in the FBI laboratory and the FBI’s involvement in the Aldrich Ames case.

Three new bureaucracies?

The MMS was broken into three separate entities to eliminate conflicts of interest as the MMS was too powerful and had too much control over too many areas.

Back to the czars... That factcheck article does say Bush had 35 czars compared to 32 for Obama. This wikipedia article also confirms it. The biggest numeric increase in czars was from Clinton (7) to Bush (35).

Wayne, don't you recall?

Bromwich is Harvard-educated lawyer. Last I heard, Harvard was in the Ivy League.

Three entities in the government is three new directors and thus, three new bureaucracies.

Where's the outrage from the liberals when Salazar appointments Bromwich, who has no oil or natural resource experience, to the Minerals Management Services?

"outrage' is the first response for the right, the left takes a wait and see attitude, we want facts and results, or lack thereof, before becoming outraged.

Oh, now that explains why Moveon.org remove the Be Tray Us ad from their website two days ago. That decision took them three years to take a wait and see attitude toward the General.
