Doubts about Perry’s intellect have hounded him since he was first elected as a state legislator nearly three decades ago. In Austin, he’s been derided as a right-place, right-time pol who looks the part but isn’t so deep — “Gov. Goodhair.” Now, with the chatter picking back up among his enemies and taking flight in elite Republican circles, the rap threatens to follow him to the national stage.
Standard Dem talking point, any successful Republican has to be dumb because he doesn't see the light about Global Warming, Evolution, etc.
Quillen wrote a column Sunday in the Post attacking Perry and Republicans for having the gall to deny science, but then lol he shot down his own case by pointing out some of the times when science rationalized torture, experimenting on poor blacks, and using science to create racist laws like the Nazi's.
Science may be neutral, but too often the results are corrupted by the scientists or their employers.
