Poll: Democrats and Republicans Support a Voter ID-Check Law

Look at the numbers: Rasmussen found 85 percent support for photo ID among Republicans, 77 percent support among non-affiliated voters, and even 63 percent support among Democrats. The poll also found, not surprisingly to anyone who understands the American electorate, “support for such a law is high across virtually all demographic groups.” [Check out a roundup of political cartoons on Democrats.]

It says something when, as Rasmussen found, voters think that letting ineligible people vote is a bigger problem than preventing legitimate voters from casting a ballot, by a margin of 48 percent to 29 percent. There are those, chiefly Democrats, who deny that such a problem exists anywhere in America—except in Florida in 2000.

Funny how the Democratic politicians want to allow ANYONE to vote while the democratic voters have more commmon sense. Next Democrats will find a way to ship people here from overseas to vote or meet foreign travelers at the airports to hand them a voter registrations. I'm waiting for a new ACORN to be born soon.

This is such a no-brainer. I need ID to buy a beer or cash a check and I am 40+. People need ID to get jobs. Do you know anyone without photo ID?

And many states provide photo-id at low or no-cost.

If there was a Republican ACORN that committed voter fraud and convinced non voters to be Republican voters, the left would come unglued. VL is clueless as usual.

The Democrats would never support this law- even though the average working man and woman (legal citizens) want it.

Too many "undocumented votes" hang in the balance.

Never.. Its a non issue..I worry about the machines being rigged because theres actually evidence for that..This is voter supression and you know it

lol ..Mexican Visa Overstayers hide from the authorities..They don't go to polling places trying to cast fraudelent votes or pose as legal citizens

I have tried to find anything that would support this claim and can't, perhaps you could direct us to your source for this statement. I believe they want to allow anyone who meets the criteria to be a legal voter in the US to vote.
