Poll: Democrats and Republicans Support a Voter ID-Check Law

Let's not forget the Chicago method of getting more votes, absentee ballots from everyone who was recently on the obituaries and allowing registered voters to vote more than once.

Heck while we are at it why not rent some buses and drive them down to the slums, hand out cheese burgers and money to those willing to get on the bus and go vote for your candidate?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

You got a source for that?

I didn't think so....

I, on the other hand, have a source where Conservative groups pull dirty tricks to suppress the vote in districts they think they might lose.

Conservative group sends absentee ballots with late return date
By Daniel Bice of the Journal Sentinel

The state chapter of Americans for Prosperity, a conservative advocacy group, is mailing out absentee ballot applications to voters in two state Senate recall districts with instructions to return the material after the date of the election.

The fliers tell voters to return the absentee ballots to their city clerk before Aug. 11, even though the election date for the two districts receiving the mailers is Aug. 9.

Matt Seaholm, state director of AFP, blamed the mistake on a typo, saying his group was not trying to mislead anyone.

"This just went out to our members," Seaholm said. "I'm sure the liberals will try to make a mountain out of a molehill in an attempt to distract voters' attention from the issues."

You can hear the surprise in *MY* voice....

So, unless you have a source for your accusation that obituaries names are voting, that makes you a liar, doesn't it....

.......I think outdoor means that there is no source for the accusation.

Wouldn't it be easier not to post accusations that cannot be backed up with facts?

Sorry for the delay in my response LJ (not really), I was distracted by the Donkey's pre-season game.

I'm a big enough boy to admit the second paragraph of my reply was an editorial/suggestion but I could do the research and return more results.

Name calling? "You are a liar..." Really? I am shocked and dismayed to the point that I might have some minor episodes of flatulence aimed in your general direction overnight. Perhaps you remember a certain Richard M. Daley? Maybe you are so completely in denial or so f***ing ignorant that you have never heard of him? To make you "more smarter" (I want to use terms you understand) I offer the following information concerning Mayor Daley, of Chicago who was infamous for his ability to generate "votes":

Retort?

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Was that the same Richard Nixon (R) who resigned from office after hiring burglars to break into the Democratic headquarters?...and then lied about it? And then tried to get the FBI and Attorney General to cover it up?

Yeah, I remember....

And with phrases like: "...almost an accepted fact" I can see what a strong case there is... "almost" is a pretty harsh word.

Absentee ballots LJ? Want to talk about all the troops serving overseas who as disenfranchised by Dem state workers who send them their ballots too late for the election?

I don't think the Huff Rag spent a whole lot of time exposing ACORN so a few of the libs here are still in the dark.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

Well, there you have it... Both sides are doing it.... So, explain to me again how this is tied to disenfranchising the elderly with a voter-ID law designed to disenfranchise them? You keep moving the goalposts, so how is that related....?

Of course, we've got your playbook, so we know about the Voter-ID/Suppression bills all over the country:

According to the polling, we are in the majority and you are part of the super far Left.
Aren't you worried the Republicans will flood the voting booths with people who claim to be someone else?

If there was a Republican ACORN that committed voter fraud and convinced non voters to be Republican voters, the left would come unglued. VL is clueless as usual.

And of course ACORN did not commit voter fraud, nor has anyone ever shown any evidence of systemic voter fraud, speaking of clueless. It is just another attempt at conservatives to disenfranchise the poor and minorities. This conservative columnist pretty much speaks for the conservatives in claiming that it is unamerican to allow the poor to even vote. http://tpmmuckraker.talkingpointsmemo.c ... ?ref=fpblg

Voting is a RIGHT that should not be burdened. Until there is clear evidence of voter fraud, which there simply is not, why place a burden on legal citizens. In many urban areas, many individuals don't drive and don't have photo id, likewise many elderly no longer maintain a driver's license.
