I normally expect a scene similar to the Kirk Douglas and Tony Curtis movie Spartacus, except its the left defending the failed actions of the Obama admin. First its VL, "I'm moronacus", then its LJ, "No, I'm moronacus", and so on.

Words from a clueless clown.
Now that is being very kind. I'd have chosen somewhat harsher words given the response of his you quoted. There is no way to dress up and make stupid look good.
This is one of likely many other reasons why Obama wants to keep so many things secret. There is no reason other than to keep the dirty laundry hidden from view in the closet. How can one possibly defend such actions unless one is an idiot. There is no defending only deflection to some other issue of yesteryear.
The administration's in this up to their eyeballs. Now they're shuffling folks around as "fast and furious" as they can (from NRA-ILA News):
"In the latest development in the on-going Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) "Fast and Furious" scandal, the Department of Justice announced this week the appointment of U.S. Attorney for the District of Minnesota B. Todd Jones to serve as Acting Director of BATFE, replacing Kenneth Melson. The DOJ also announced that Dennis Burke, U.S. attorney for the district of Arizona, has resigned. And the Wall Street Journal reported that Emory Hurley, the assistant U.S. attorney responsible for the day-to-day operations of "Fast and Furious," has been removed from his post and reassigned to the department's Civil Division"
Of course, I should point out to all those folks out there who want to vilify Obama on this (and don't misunderstand - I'm not defending him), this isn't the first administration to run guns and cover it up. That has been a bi-partisan enterprise for many years. The R's have just as much blood on their hands as the D's.
OK......I'll chime in....I think the whole operation was ill conceived...stupid...and downright idiotic.......Oh, did I mention stupid?
sorry not to use any of these excuses:

- Drug cartels will get guns no matter what so why not create a supply and point to the US as the source; less guns in America equals a safer America and lower crime rates. Duh!
- All gun owners in America are racists and there is an underground conspiracy to overthrow the current administration by force. We had to bring the situation to the public's attention to avoid a revolution!
- It's all Bush's fault, Operation Fast and Furious was planned by W and his henchmen just before the election as a "zero day" attack that would ruin the popularity of the honorable Barack Hussein Obama and his administration. Halliburton!
- Violence is like um bad and stuff so we should get rid of guns and war that kind of stuff because it's bad and it makes people like get hurt and like die and and stuff.
but.....
wait for it, a disclaimer is coming,
.......I don't think this administration is any better or worse than other administrations when it comes to actually understanding the consequences of some of their actions.
Oh, I forgot to thank otisptoadwater for supplying yet another example of how far off base conservatives are when they try to predict liberal responses.
now I think I will get back to football, playing with the new puppy, and enjoying this wonderfully cool day with a walk.
Really.....if I had known how anxious you all were for me, or another liberal, to respond to your taunts I would surely have gotten here sooner.....or not.
