President Barack Obama will honor NASCAR champion Jimmie Johnson and the 11 other Chase drivers from last year in a White House ceremony on Wednesday – but nearly half of the 2010 playoff contenders won't be there.

NASCAR said Thursday that five drivers – Greg Biffle, Kurt Busch, Carl Edwards, Kevin Harvick and Tony Stewart – will not be attending the White House visit due to "schedule conflicts."

Five people with their priorities in order.

That was dumb on the White House's part to invite them in the middle of the season - of course they won't have time when they have to go from Atlanta to Richmond and have to change their cars to fit the track. Duh.

It's dumb to invite them at all. Just more campaigning, this time for the NASCAR crowd vote.

Somebody needs to slip some textbooks on economics and business onto the Prez's desk. He's waaaaaaaaaaaay behind the learning curve.

He doesn't need a book, All he needs is a graph showing how Trickle Down doesn't work, and has never worked.

I hate the way you suck up to these hillbillies- ya cant bring guns into nascar events and most republicans are either pure white trash or frustrated professional geeks who are still bitter about being picked on as kids

But I guess the customer is king, and thats your customer...so you post stuff like that

Must be the same administrator who scheduled the first date for the President's address to both Houses of Congress.
