Calling Conservatives Crazy, Stupid, Racist and Evil SOBs

Why is every one so surprised at the angry rhetoric? When people are threatened they fight back. Right now it's the unions...they know the Tea Party wants unions made irrelevant. Next it will be seniors...they see the Tea Party assaults on SS and Medicare. I have heard some pretty angry rhetoric from seniors about the Tea Party agenda. Can the poor and the middle class be far behind.? When you threaten peoples ability to make a living, to feed and care for their families, while proposing all kinds of perks for the wealthy and corporations....yes, it's going to get ugly.

The reason that the unions are upset is because if spending is curtailed and taxes reduced it means that the Democrats must be voted out of office in order to accomplish this. The unions depend upon the Democrats hind teat for their goodies. They are not afraid of curtailed spending or lowered taxes. They are only concerned that the Democrats must stay in power.

If you will pay attention you will find that the Tea Party is mostly composed of senior citizens.

Coming from one you'd think she'd know.

Well as a senior citizen myself, all I am hearing is the Tea Party has gone too far...if they so much as suggest major changes to SS and Medicare they will have a mutiny on their hands. Most seniors depend on those two programs to maintain their quality of life._

Never heard anything negative from my Dad, Step mom, mom, Uncle or their freinds and they are all in their late 70's early 80's. Hell they are mostly calling for us to take back the country.

Name call all you want on either side of the fence and up and down the middle too, lord knows I dish it out all the time and I get plenty of it back too. How about some solutions to real problems from our elected leadership along with the name calling? I'd b*tch a lot less if the current administration was solving problems instead of proclaiming false victories and talking all about why the other party is keeping them from solving problems. Solving problems and improving everyone's quality of life would go a long way toward getting re-elected, blaming others and doing nothing to fix the problems will get the opposite result.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

"Any man who thinks he can be happy and prosperous by letting the Government take care of him; better take a closer look at the American Indian." - Henry Ford

Corruptissima re publica plurimae leges; When the Republic is at its most corrupt the laws are most numerous. - Publius Cornelius Tacitus

Take back the country from whom? Do they not respect the wishes of the majority of American voters in the last election?

I hear someone say "take back the country" and I have to wonder why they don't say "take back the presidency" instead? Nobody stole the country. A political party won the last election, just as it have has times before. The only difference this last time was that Americans elected a black man.

Who has done nothing but campaign since he was elected. After 3 years, I would think he should be leading instead of picking fights with his opposition. But then, I might be expecting more than he is capable of.

All you are hearing is wrong. The tea party doesn't want to touch current retiree's benefits, but they do acknowledge the unfunded nature of the plan. At some point, a line must be drawn, and future benefits must change. Is that for those 50 today? 40? I don't know, but it has to be something. If we had made the change 15 yrs ago instead of kicking the can down the road, we would be in better shape today.

I personally believe from talking to seniors that I know, that a large percentage would be willing to sacrifice to make the future better for the next generation. Unlike those currently running the country, the "seniors" have always been ones to think more about the future than of themselves. They aren't called "the greatest generation" for nothing. Sacrificing for others is in their blood. They know the current status quo is unsustainable.

Too bad future generations aren't here to see all the great things we are spending their $$ on!!

It's really sad when people on the left don't LISTEN to what is actually being said. they just listen to what "their" talking heads are saying. Medicare and SS WILL NOT SURVIVE in their current form so FUTURE RECIPIENTS will have to wait longer before they can get benefits or the benefits have to be reduced....THIS DOES NOT EFFECT CURRENT SENIORS!!!!!.

The answer for everything is always tax the rich, but the rich can't pay for every bloated beaurocracy..the math just desn't add up. I'm almost 49 and this would affect me personally. After my cancer, I have no more nest egg so I will be working till my final days and have no illusions that SS will be much more than a supplement anyway (it was never meant to be like a pension) So I say do whatever it takes to save it, but don't put it off and let it crash on my kids.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
