Solyndra

Solyndra was created by Grady

As part of the 2009 job-creating stimulus, the government has committed nearly $40 billion to clean energy projects. The first loan guarantee went to Solyndra Inc., a California solar firm backed by an Obama fundraiser . But instead of picking a winner, the government backed a loser. The firm failed, putting more than 1,000 people out of work and taxpayers on the hook for $535 million. Among questions now: Did the White House unduly influence the process? Did the Energy Department rush its first commitment, ignoring warning signs about the company's viability? Will this failed project cost Obama?

He should have backed an honest company with no strings at all like Halliburton.

This would make a great campain commercial- Obama standing in front of this company making a speech about green energy jobs with a big red flashing "bankrupt" and "failed" logo across the screen. Maybe a running tally across the screen of all the government subsidized jobs lost!

But then again, this BOZO has said and done so many stupid things that there's literally hundreds of examples all ready to go- for who ever runs against him.

I'm gonna enjoy watching them.

P.S. Halliburton is still in business!

Didn't the Feds just raid this company?

What the hell does Halliburton have to do with this story? At least with Halliburton you got what you paid for. The point of the story is that the Obama administration decided to showboat a “green jobs” company, a company that has close ties to the administration, with $557,000,000 our tax dollars without due diligence.

Payback for one of Obama's bundlers. I hope they all go to jail.

It's one of the top ten favorite left wing phrases, it doesn't have to be in any context it's just a way to divert the conversation away from the original point.

Back on track (kind of), doesn't this remind anyone of a certain mayor of Chicago and his corrupt relationships with business and the mob? I wonder if Barry and Richard M. Daley are related... Barry and his administration lend money to this company, Barry pays them a visit to prop up the idea that green jobs exist in support of his perpetual re-election campaign, and a few months later the company folds and the FBI raids their facility.

Just for fun I'll post what will likely follow:

It's Bush's fault, Cheney and Halliburton owned stock in this company and made it fail, Republicans want to destroy the environment, global warming wouldn't be happening if Gore was elected...

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Yes, they did. The FBI conducted a raid this week.

Halliburton is an upstanding company. I would like to know specifically what liberals have against this company.
