It took Obama and the coalition to finish the job and the right squealed when Obama did what Bush was afraid to do.

Actually after the Iraq invasion, Kadaffi was properly cowed and turned in his nuclear components to the US and stopped exporting terrorism, and now Obama is replacing that with a diverse group of rebels who may make Libya a new base for Al Quiada.

What's there to miss?
to quote the Eagles ---- "I can't tell you why....."
Come on - this is the decade that Steve Miller Band was singing (gag) disco.
The 80s had to be one of the most shallow decades of music, ever.
I don't have any endless love for that era. I didn't date any women for whom I have a kiss on my list --- and the theme song for the decade was Linda Ronstadt's "Don't know much....."
The 80s aren't an era that I'd like to re-live. With the possible exception of Reagan (ok - I admired him) ---- I'm very happy the deade is dead.
I'm glad it's over too, I don't listen to the music anymore as my taste in music has totally changed since then. But in their day- The cars, Devo, Blondie, B-52's, Go Go's and the like were the shizzy- except for a few rap heads and burned out rock & rollers who wouldn't let the 70's die. Nothing was more shallow than a 70's rock & roller who wouldn't let it go. I even admit listening to punk rock in the early 80's- a mistake my ears regret now.

These days I'm into acoustic music- and I like bluegrass. Much easier on the ears than the sex pistols. It takes real talent to pick bluegrass as compared to the 3 chord rock and even New Wave- and they call New wave "alternative" now - well for 15 years now.
Now I seem to be liking old school country like hank williams and bluegrass bands, especially the old school bluegrass.
I don't miss the 80s at all, I was in college for half of it and I couldn't wait for it to end so I could be done with school. Looking back it wasn't all that bad though, compared to today. I was pretty broke then and working my tail off. I remember the 90's as being the good ol days economically, for me anyway.

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
I bought a house in South Barrington when I was 23..It had a half acre lot with 20 foot tall bushes surrounding the yard, I had a big screen house out back with a card table, crap table, black jack table and cable tv in there and it was packed all summer. I made so much money everyday that I acutally wiped my ass with some and flushed it down the toilet once..We ran out of toilet paper so I used some one's outta my pocket. Change and $1 bills were just a nusiance to me..
I was living in a crummy slumlord apartment in Taxachusetts 1988. One weekend my next door neighbor broke in and just drank some of my beer. Didn't steal anything, probably because I didn't have anything. LOL One time I put some junk electronics and old car stereos on my garbage can lid, they were gone the next morning. LOL, they were junk. A few years later I moved the hell out of there and re-located to Colorado, never regretted it although everyone thought I was crazy to quit my job and move west.
True story, really!

I owned a house and had a wife and kids in school in the early mid 80's....
