Texas to discontinue fancy last-meal requests on death row

I could have gone the rest of my life and not needed to read the salacious, intimate details of the rapes.

You do the girls' memories a disservice by including such detail, but I know why you did.

This isn't about me.....you're such a knucklehead.

This thread about serving Texas death row penalty inmates a final fancy meal. These guys when they are exterminated from earth don't deserve even a burrito or better yet a fancy burrito.

You like that report post button too...

I agree with you on the meal and posted a similar opinion earlier in this thread.

"Now, more than ever, the illusions of division threaten our very existence. We all know the truth: more connects us than separates us. But in times of crisis the wise build bridges, while the foolish build barriers. We must find a way to look after one another as if we were one single tribe.” -King T'Challa, Black Panther

The truth is incontrovertible. Malice may attack it. ignorance may deride it, but in the end, there it is. ~Winston Churchill

I like decaf tea and hate coffee. Anyway, I think our jail system is messed up. Is this about punishment or rehab? I do not give myself permission to do anything to someone because they committed a crime. Yes some of those people are monsters but some do change and I just do not agree with the mentality that because they committed a crime that gives us permission to treat them badly their whole lives. Some people might be able to change.

I watched a terrible program about inmates that were put in solitary confinement and were let out one hour a day. Making people go crazy is not right, no matter what they did. And some of you are the same people that were against what was going on at Guantanamo. This is the same thing in our own prisons.

Actually, I do drink tea, after finally having it served properly. I recommend PG Tips.
