It is the independent middle that will decide which movement speaks more to them. The Tea Party is a stated conservative movement who blames the progressives in government for the issues of the day. The OWS movement blames the greed of Wall Street and the influence it has on the politicians in charge, probably more the conservatives than the progressives, but they are both beholden to money. The OWS is more the We The People side and the Tea Party is more the Me instead of People side.

The TEA Party people I know hate Republican overspending as much as they hate Leftist spending.
It would be interesting if the OWS people start primarying leading Democrats in 2012. Alternative to Pelosi? DeGette? etc.

Both are simplistic and don't understand the real political landscape. Both are minor blips of populism that will never sustain themselves. Ego stroking from both sides and in the long term have nothing of substance to add. IMHO of course.

No prediction or opinion on where this movement will go?

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

How stupid can we be? Fox and MSNBC are disgusting mouthpieces of their constituent viewers. They both are lying, pandering garbage. Think for yourself, laziness will not be tolerated.

No, it's impossible for anyone to say. There are too many variables.

I do know this: Occupy Wall Street is NOTHING like the Tea Party protests.

Just compare the pictures. There are people of all colors in the Occupy Wall Street photos.

They don't know why they are protesting......

Every freak interest that comprises the left is represented at this "protest" and the funny thing is I bet almost all of them VOTED for the very politicians who formulated the policy that has led to these economic bad times. They want to blame the rich and the banks and wall street when it was political policy that used OUR money to bail them out when they mis-managed their businesses. And the Republicans of the past were also involved, but there were planty- I say plenty of Democrats involved too- in fact the left was in charge for most of it.

They want to blame the banks for loaning money to people who borrowed money they could never afford to pay back- instead of blaming the political system and politicians like Barney Frank for creating the mess in the first place. Bush warned of the coming crisis that would result from all this and here we are! It was big government that created it all!

The government created "too big to fail" out of thin air- and in the process stabbing the economic system that worked in the back. We now subsidize failure.

They complain that they can't get jobs- but they are responsible for their own skillset. They are falling prey to Obama's class warfare tactic- and they will be the losers in the end. Protesting will accomplish nothing except prolonging their failure.

No one has to tell me about the challenges involved with pursuing success when you are born without a lot of advantages, or to a family without a lot of money. That is the story of my life. I achieved success in business because I worked hard, studied hard, set goals, honed my strategy, weathered setbacks and kept at it no matter what. Sometimes those setbacks occurred because, at least it seemed to me, someone didn't treat me fairly. But I quickly learned that this, too, is part of life. Complaining about it won't help you. Devising strategies to overcome it will.
Herman Cain

These people voted for the economy we have now- and now they want to complain about it, they are the creators of it!

I love this skit by George Carlin- It explains the attitude of the elitist Liberal.

Oh I see, it's a race thing again. How long haave you been in the news business wayne? I see lots of name calling and generalizations from you, but rarely see you getting into the substance of an issue. I started this thread because I wanted to see who was willing and able to make a simple prediction about where this movement was headed. You were unable to contribute anything other than another bash on the Tea Party that you think you know so much about.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

It will end with nothing of substance ,IMO, just like the tea party, the end result will be that $ wins out. Biz as usual. Clear?
