Well it looks like they sent in the jack booted thugs at about 3am. Hippies had just gone to bed in their tents after another night of bongo's, bonghits and chants about evil corporations. They hadn't even slept off half their buzz- only to be awakened by the Man and kicked out of their humble living quarters.

By 6 AM the arrests started (I thought they would wait one more day) ordered up by Colorado's "progressive" governor.

It's just about all cleaned up now- the last of the structures have been torn down and all that is left is the stench of urine and a faint wiff of patchouli here and there.

Where will these people reassemble? Maybe they should find a place that does not require a permit- they must have forgot that Denver has a law or ordinance for just about everything- your not going to scratch your own butt in Denver without being in violation of somthing.

That's the benefits of an overreaching government and excessive regulation- your always in violation and all the man has to do is single you out and pick the time to come down on ya.

Welcome to the American police state.

The park belongs to "the people"- (the people who pay for a permit)- not to all you hippies!

That's a good one. It's a reminder of how lucky we are to live in a country like this...even the poorest of our population can get food and shelter somewhere.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.

1. Break up the monopolies
I might agree with this one, Ma Bell comes to mind but that did not fix everything now they are just taxing phones like crazy. The banks for sure need to be broken up. Having 7 or 8 banks own everything is a problem.
2. Pay for your own bailouts
If they had paid for their own bailout we would be in a depression right now. Not great but not much we could have done for that one.
3. No public money for private lobbying
Okay but you have to have a good plan to fix this, they will always find a way and their alternative could be even worse.
4. Tax hedge-fund gamblers
Hedge funds are a big problem and it should be regulated.
5. Change the way bankers get paid.
You cannot tell people how to get paid that is socialism.

Re-implement Glass/Steagal... That's a start.
Make hedge fund managers pay income taxes on their income...period. No more "capital gains" rates. (In fact, all income from capital gains over $1million should be taxed at personal income rates.)
Tax the people over $1-million at Reagan-era rates.
Close down unnecessary military bases, and unnecessary programs in the military-industrial-complex.
If it's "too big to fail" it's "too big to exist."
You may not be able to tell bankers how to get paid, but you can close the loopholes they use to escape taxation on their income.

Poooor "job-creators"...Everybody's picking on them.

The neocons ignore the growing demonstrations and write it off as "lazy hippies" at their own peril...
