Many liberals believe

Bold mine. Is that what liberals believe?

http://www.tnr.com/article/96334/how-oc ... t-liberals

"Many liberals believe this embarrassing disparity in voting strength stems from a passion gap. The argument goes like this: Conservatives appeal to voters on a gut level; liberals invoke facts, analysis, rational arguments. It’s no contest: Demagoguery trumps sweet reason every time because, let’s face it, lots of voters are none too bright. This is why the supremely rational Barack Obama is sinking like a stone. Liberals need more heat, not light, and OWS protesters are bringing the heat. After all, hasn’t the Tea Party shown us how to win through intimidation? Its cadres have purged GOP moderates, demanded absolute fealty to litmus tests on taxes and other issues, and forced Obama to swallow big spending cuts to avoid a government shut-down. Can’t the left get similarly tough with wishy-washy Democrats?"

Its true- republicans use the simplest methods to appeal and minipulate you guys; "democrats are gay tree huggers" and you simpletons don't wanna be "gay" so you vote republican . Stuff like that only works on kinderrgardeners, impressionable teens and morons..

Pretty funny original post. I always say that liberals tend to think short term with their hearts instead of their heads. Not worry about the consequences. For example, spend our way out of the recession and not worry about an increased debt load.

But I do think Republican politicians make appeals on emotional issues too, like abortion or homosexual marriage. Stirring up the people generally helps bring in donations quicker and for bigger amounts than a reasoned discourse on microeconomics.

1. Liberals hate America.
Obama does apoligize a lot for America's past.
2. Liberals want to leave us defenseless in the face of evildoers around the world.
Some of the biggest military cuts came under Carter(D) & Clinton(D)
3. Liberals hate the free market.
Carter did deregulate a lot, but Obama's people have wrote tons of new regulations, and the OWS people are pushing for curbs on the free market.
4. Liberals hate our troops.
It wasn't conservatives who spit on returning Vietnam vets or denied ROTC access to college campuses.
5. Liberals are a bunch of elitists who hate decent working- and middle-class Americans.
Maybe hate is too strong of word, but they do look down on anyone who doesn't agree with them.
6. Liberals are against "family values."
Against traditional family values.
7. Liberals want to raise our taxes.
Clinton(D) raised income tax rates and liberals (Obama) think they need to be restored
8. Liberls are Godless—and therefore, amoral.
Most of the outspoken athiests tend to be "D"
9. Liberals don't believe in personal responsibility.
"D"'s are more likely to believe in bailing out people who have made mistakes with goverment funds.
10. Liberals are wimps. lol Of course.

And Clinton balanced the budget, unlike any Republican president.

If we honestly wish to bring the federal budget closer to balance, without wrecking vital services or plunging the nation back into recession, why not consult the record of the one president in recent memory who actually achieved that goal? Not Ronald Reagan, the affable wingnut whose tax cuts blew open a huge deficit, but Bill Clinton -- who left balanced budgets and a nation on track to paying off the national debt entirely.

How did he do it? Clinton isn't shy about explaining what happened on his watch. The budget deals he made with the congressional Republicans were significant, but not nearly as significant as the tax increase on the wealthy that he passed, without a single Republican vote, in his first budget in 1993.

Voting to raise taxes on the rich was the crucial step toward fiscal responsibility and a long period of high employment, national prosperity and international prestige. There is no other way to stabilize the budget without inflicting grave damage on our future.
