No, it's FAIR when the rich pay at least the same PERCENTAGE of their income in taxes as the middle class and poor do. Please pay attention.

Whimper, whimper, it isn't fair to tax the middle class or the poor. It is only the Rich that should be taxed.

I haven't heard anyone suggest we only tax the rich...can you give us a source for that statement?

Rudy Giuliani proposed a variation of a flat tax back in 2009 which I think is interesting.

I keeps deductions for charity, mortgage, taxes paid, and even adds one for if you have to buy your own health insurance. And it keeps the child tax credit.

It taxes all income the same and has three tax brackets.

Looking at it, my guess is it would be a tax cut for most middle class and a tax increase for high income (which is rare coming from a Republican). The low income still wouldn't have to pay income tax, but they won't get the earned income credit (which is subject to a lot of fraud).

Anyway, I think something like it could work, with adjustments...

Saying it over and over won't make it true...

But it is true... And saying it over and over again makes me feel good.

Obviously you failed math.

Math has nothing to do with the rich paying the same percentage of their income that the poor and middle-class do. It's a great idea... Ronald Reagan thought so.

You're running out of intelligent things to say, Bill...Perhaps you should go visit NewsMax, or WorldNutDaily, or FauxNews, or RedState and find out what to say next.... ?

The poor and middle class in the 15% bracket already pay less a percentage than the rich do.

And the rich used to pay as big a percentage as most the rest of the middle class until Democrat Bill Clinton reduced the capital gains rate from 28% to 20%.

Go look at my examples. The lower and middle class will pay A LOT less percentage wise than the wealthy. You argument holds no water.
