What a great point that was just brought up. He said he didn't know anything about the payout or the situation but now he is saying that he told Anderson who is in Perry's camp all about this back in 2003 when he was working on Cain's campaign, to prepare them in case this came up. SO which is it? He knew nothing about it or he told someone all the details who he now blames for leaking it? Someone really needs to work with him on his stories. Or at least write them down so they remember what they said a few hours or days earlier!!

Has anyone else wondered why Cain never seems to campaign with his wife?

I honestly think his reckless claim that is was Perry in order to deflect attention away from himself was amaturish and desperate, and is going to be the end of him. Perry's camp is firing back and livid! They will be demanding an apology for an outright baseless lie.

Governor Perry’s campaign is firing back at Herman Cain’s campaign for the false accusasions and lies. Here is an email from Perry's Comm Dir, Ray Sullivan to Mark Block’s claims on SR.

Email from Ray Sullivan:
...
HIS CHARGE IS BOTH RECKLESS AND FALSE. For a candidate and campaign that claim to be the victims of unfounded and unproven accusations, they are awfully quick to hurl unfounded accusations themselves. Contrary to the Cain campaign’s false accusations, there is not one shred of evidence that any member of the Perry team had anything to do with the recent stories regarding Herman Cain — because it isn’t true.

And while hurling unfounded accusations may serve as a temporary distraction from Mr Cain’s ongoing troubles, we hope we can all get on with the serious business of issues and selecting the best candidate to defeat Barack Obama.

Jon Caldara of the Independence Institute was saying last night that if it can be proven the leak came from the Perry camp, that will be the end of Perry's campaign.

Curt Anderson who Cain is blaming for the leak, was just on FOX. Anderson said Cain never even told him about this back in 2003 like he claims. It was a total lie from Cain. Cain won't speak on it but Anderson came on the next morning and now told all of his side of hte story. Cain owes Anderson and Perry an apology.

I can't believe (well, actually I can) how you swallow one side of this hook, line and sinker but question the other side of the argument.

OF COURSE Anderson is going to say Cain never told him. He's being accused of leaking a secret that he wasn't supposed to and could come bite and back his current candidate in the a**. What do you expect him to say? "Yeah, he told me." ???

lol Or Cain might be the Bill Clinton of the 2012 campaign, constant bimbo eruptions but Slick Willie ducked and weaved his way into office.

Obama did a good job shrugging off the Ayer's & Rev. Wright allegations. along with admitted drug use.
