This could be really bad for Cain.

I would be more worried about someone who says he's worried about "China wanting to obtain nuclear weapons" when they've had them for 50 years. But, hey, if you want a second-rate pizza....

Nobody that matters wrote: I'm just really glad all this is coming out now - well before the election. Nothing pisses me off more than backing someone that looks good, smells good, and says the right thing only to turn out to be completely unqualified for the office.

BTW, I don't think this rules out Cain. It'll be tough to overcome, but depending on what comes out about all the others, this might turn out to be the lesser of the evils.

As I have said, if he weathers this, he may come out a lot stronger.

In an interview Monday, Cain said part of China's threat to the United States stems from its attempts to develop nuclear weapons -- even though China tested its first nuclear weaponin 1964.

"Yes, they're a military threat," Cain said on the PBS NewsHour, in response to a question from Judy Woodruff. "They've indicated that they're trying to develop nuclear capability and they want to develop more aircraft carriers like we have. So yes, we have to consider them a military threat."

It's part of that "Don't speak to me unless spoken to" mentality. His staff can't brief him properly under that rule.

The ONLY way he will get ahead of this is by being HONEST and stating up front, what happened, why the person in question was granted a year's salary (buying silence is NOT an excuse).....being reflective of HIS part in the fiasco and perhaps offering a belated
apology of the incident......JMO. The late 80's and first part of the 90's was rampant with sexual harassment,so this does not surprise
me.....(has nothing to do with black/white.....just MALE perception of acceptable behavior.

Stay tuned. I understand he's going to give a policy speech tonight on how he's going to deal with those Japanese patrols in Saipan.
