I'm sure they thought it was more important than doing anything about the economy. Gotta love politicians.

I'm still waiting for that "laser-like focus on jobs." But I'm sure that there are MANY in the majority party that felt it necessary to stroke their base....rather than create any jobs.

(Particularly since it's been our official "national motto" and on our money since 1957.....during the McCarthy era... But, hey, nothing like dragging it out again and re-certifying it to keep the cons happy.)

Pretty lame. They don't even believe that one. Should be "In our corporate pimps we trust"

I am still waiting for people to figure out that the government does not make jobs and that those that keep thinking that they do are dragging us all down.

They passed a jobs bill but Harry Reid isn't letting the Senate even vote for it. The House have also passed parts of Obama's Jobs bill, but keep focusing like a laser beam on what your Dem talking points for the month are.

denial in the name of g-d.

I think that would qualify as taking the lord's name in vain.

Uh, the point was about wasting time recertifying something that already exists...instead of going down a rabbithole to pacify the wackos. But thanks for playing.

However, tomorrow morning they'll take up motherhood; in the afternoon it's apple pie; and then on Friday they'll spend a day recertifying the design of the US flag.

Where are the jobs, Boehner?

I'd rather have them screwin around with worthless crap like this than trying to 'fix' anything. All they do when they 'fix' things is suck all the power they can find and leave a dry husk of an industry.

If government would stick to what they need to do - address the real problems, they could do wonders. But no - they have to bail out idiots, 'create' jobs that dry up and blow away with the next budget, and get more power for themselves... always more power.

Capitalism and the Free market work. They work well, with one major inherent problem... The rich get richer and the poor get poorer until the power and capital are all held by a select few - which is exactly what's occurring right now. Wealth is pooled among jsut a few,a nd all the power has been sucked up by the Federal Government. Now, I'm not calling for the socialist version of wealth redistribution, but the if all the brilliant minds in Washington could come up with a way to keep the wealth and power cycling, they'd have fixed our one and only problem. Then they could sit on their asses and collect money for just staying the hell out of the way of a perfectly oiled economic machine.

I think I just cleared it up in my mind by typing all that. We don't need wealth redistribution... we need recycling success. Damn, I'm talking myself into estate taxes. :VeryScared:
