Cain says China is trying to get nuclear weapons. WHAT???

OK, seriously, not only is Cain losing a LOT of credibility but Obama will have a hey day with this! In an interview Monday, Cain said part of China's threat to the United States stems from its attempts to develop nuclear weapons -- even though China tested its first nuclear weaponin 1964.

"Yes, they're a military threat," Cain said on the PBS NewsHour, in response to a question from Judy Woodruff. "They've indicated that they're trying to develop nuclear capability and they want to develop more aircraft carriers like we have. So yes, we have to consider them a military threat."

China has over 240 nuclear warheads. 180 active. Is Cain just throwing out random statements?

I mean this is like saying a baseball team scored a touchdown. Does he know ANYTHING about foreign issues?

And this was Monday. Why are no stations talking about this? Because all the media wants Cain to win.

Perhaps they're worried conservatives will say they are picking on Cain because he is black?

But yeah, perhaps it's because "all of the media" wants Cain to win -- like people wouldn't find out about this anyhow.

I am sure that it will come up this next debate and he will say he misspoke or was misunderstood. Or that he was tired on so many interviews. That is why they cut back and he is still saying things like this. He is really starting to worry me!

I think he confused China with North Korea. At least that's what I would say, if I were him.

He can't get away with that as if you watch the video, they were talking about China and their economy and the threat they are to the US.

Try again......

You can still develop nuclear weapons even if you already have them. Maybe that's what he was talking about. Who knows...it won't matter anyway. We elected a guy who didn't even know how many states are in the United States. We'll elect whomever they tell us to...

(Quick disclaimer, I'm sort of reluctant to post in here anymore anyway after what I've read and my opinion will likely be tossed to the wayside simply because: I'm not a Liberal, I'm not a Conservative, I am a pagan, and although I am completely capable of hostility and violence outside of a message board, I hold no interest in slinging insults or resorting to name calling on an internet message board. So for whatever its worth, here's my opinion....)

"To err is human". I'm not a Cain supporter by any means, don't really follow his message or anything and for that I'll most likely be called a 'racist' or something of that sort. But I will say that he's FAR from being the only politician to say something 'less than intelligent'.

Consider the following for example:

"Trees cause more pollution than automobiles."

"All the waste in a year from a nuclear power plant can be stored under a desk."

"Facts are stupid things." -at the 1988 Republican National Convention, attempting to quote John Adams, who said, "Facts are stubborn things"

"Approximately 80 percent of our air pollution stems from hydrocarbons released by vegetation, so let's not go overboard in setting and enforcing tough emission standards from man-made sources."

All of those are quotes from Ronald Reagan, who again I have nothing personal against, just proving a point which as I mentioned above probably isn't worth a damn amongst this crowd.

Badger, I'm out.
