5 Trapped in Sewage Filled Border Tunnel

02 Nov 2011 15:04 #1 by Grady

Five people were trapped in a tunnel near the U.S.-Mexico border and had to be rescued early Wednesday.

The four men and one woman were discovered inside the tunnel partly filled with sewage in Otay Mesa. The tunnel is believed to lead to Mexico, which is about 150 meters away.

The five were trapped at a point in the tunnel where a fence made it impossible to get through to the U.S.

Tsk Tsk. If they hadn't been trying to violate US Law, They'd still be clean and happy in warm sunny Mexico.

No body in Mexico knows what bolt cutters or a recon mission are? I guess if you want to crawl down a pipe full of poo just to see what's in there no one is stopping them. Why five people would do the same thing? Doesn't strike me as being very smart.

Now if the US Boarder Patrol could make it an electric fence it could have save the Mexican first responders a lot of trouble!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

The first responders were American, if I read the article correctly. Plus they lost a robot in the process. $$$ wasn't Mexican.
Also they were hosed down in Chula Vista, isnt that California? So they weren't that stupid, they made it to the US

I guess I skipped over the citizenship of the first responders, may bad. So did the Obama administration granted them all citizenship after the ordeal? I didn't read that part, maybe I need to clean my glasses?

If I were trapped in a tunnel, the sewage filled part would come naturally

So if they were rescued by US Border Patrol it would be logical that the fence is no longer in place? Way to go guys...

At the end of the day Mexicans got sent back to Mexico. Too bad they picked a sh*ty path to the USA and it didn't work out for them. Maybe they should try again and do so following the legal method of immigration.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
