Obama’s New ‘Christmas Tree Tax’

SC, I read you were guessing on certain issues, but that seems to miss the point entirely. Isn't selling a tree live or dead a business? Can't a business set the cost of the merchandise without going to the government? Why is it necessary for government to make an approval for a 15 cent increase if it is not a tax? Something with is not adding up with this.

Why pre tell does the USDA need to approve Tree, Promotion, Research, and Information "Order". This makes n sense. If it is research and promotion on trees, specifically Christmas trees, why is there a role for the USDA? Or is the answer in the word "order". Is this something the USDA issued? Otherwise why is it an order? Tree growers don't need an order to set money aside for advertising or research. No matter how I look at this the matter of getting the government involved makes no sense. The whole story make no sense. There is something hidden that connects all the dots and I'm just not getting it.

Our collective opposing point is only that we shutter and vociferously oppose more government. Now it is a vitriolic diatribe, next it will be physical aggression. They are merely predictable sequential processes.
