I never said every member of the Tea Party is non-racist. There are some that are. I'd be willing to be that we could find some OWS that are racist too - gosh, I guess you proved your point... what was it again?

I never said all of the OWS movement was about socialism. Neither did Walsh. He was referring to those participating in OWS that are propsing socialist solutions.

Will either you or LJ be dumb enough to claim there are no socialist OWS participants?

You and Fred both seem to think the main goal of the OWS movement is to promote socialism and Fred posted some pics as proof of that. I was demonstrating that it is pretty easy to color an entire crowd with a few pictures of the few. You can play dumb if you want, but I know damned well that you aren't and that you already understood that point.

Right now OWS is a large tent organization that has all kinds and no one seems to really be in control. Some are TEA Party types that are tired of Wall Street and the Feds being so cozy. But I have seem one of their manifestos that smacks of socialism to the left of Europe. A living wage of $20 an hour, erase all debts, etc.

Yeah, I saw that too. It was put out there by Rush which puts it in immediate question. I did not see this "manifesto" as being something that really represented the protesters as most of them were completely unaware of it. Can you say astro turf?

I posted the pictures, and I posted them to prove that SOME in the OWS protests are calling for socialism. I know damn good and well that there is no main goal of the OWS movement. That's the main problem with the OWS movement.

What you can't seem to grasp is that I'm not trying to paint the entire OWS protest crowd with one broad brush (unless that would be "disorganized"). I'm simply pointing out that Walsh was referring to the socialist participants in the OWS protests. Not all the protesters.

I agree with Walsh's statements about those participants proposing socialst solutions. That statement doesn't apply to all OWS protesters.

Can you grasp that someone opposed to your views is not guilty of overgeneralization now?

So, coming back to the OP: "Veterans In Occupy Movement 'Don't Understand This Country'"....Really? I didn't see anything that suggested that any Veterans were holding up "communist" signs--just a blanket statement from a nutcase teabagger that "Veterans 'Don't Understand This Country'... You REALLY believe that any Veterans supporting OWS "don't understand this country?"

KOA's Brownie says many OWS types are registering as candidates to run in 2012. It will be interesting to see if they are as successful as the TEA Party was in bumping out the DC insiders.
And will this effort will prove to be more lasting than the TEA Party who find limited appetite in Washington for actually cutting federal spending.

Tea Party's Approval Rating Drops To New Low - New Gallup Poll

Americans’ approval of the Tea Party has dropped to an all-time low since the nascent unorganized group came into existence three years ago. Now, only 25% of Americans support the Tea Party, while 28% oppose it.

Yeah, the TeaParty sure seems to be a "lasting" institution. Now that public has seen that all they can do is say 'no', and bring the government to a halt, I'm sure that this next election will put a lot of them back in play to continue their destructive behavior. It's still a possibility that the Dems will regain control of the House in '12....
