Newt is pulling away in all the polls.

Newt 38% Romney 17% Cain 8%. He is also far ahead in Iowo, SC, Florida and Nevada and with 10 of Romney in NH after being down by 30 there. Can he maintain this? With the anti-Romney votes being about 75%, he has a LOT more to work with than Romney's 17-25%. I just hope people vet him well so when it comes to the General election voters aren't surprised. And he REALLY needs money and an organization. Perry could help him with that as he is the best at raising money and creating organizations, but I am not sure he would make a good VP. I don't think he would leave Texas for that. Besides, Newt needs someone from the north. And maybe a woman or minority.

I think the only reason Newt is doing as well as he is is that half the populace is too young to remember some of his choicer idiocies of a decade or two ago and the other half (especially in Florida) are too old to remember some of his choicer idiocies of a decade or two ago. All that would change though if he were nominated, we'd be forced to relive the Newt of the 1990s ad nauseum in attack ads.

Newt has already been vetted- I doubt we will hear any more trash on him other than what has already come out.

I would vote for him over Rino Romney any day of the week- however- and there's always a however- I have heard him say a couple really stupid things lately. He knows the congress and how it works very well in order to get things done - he would make a pretty good president.

I do think he has been spending too much time in the classroom teaching silver spooned college students for the last 10 years, and I think this has lost sight of real America- so I hope he takes the time to see what's really going on out here.

Other than that- he would have my vote- especially if his VP is Ron Paul!! Obama has no chance of winning this election- no chance at all- so we might as well put a real conservative up against him.

The economy will be in depression mode come election day- Obama is toast!

Sure... if I were Newt, I would certainly make someone polling at 4% as my running mate.... NOT. Why would Newt want to have anything to do with a also-run like Perry who can't get more polling points than a candidate named "No Opinion." You must think Newt is stupider than Perry?

You are so blinded by hatred that you can't even read. I said Newt needs someone from the north. And maybe a woman or minority. Perry just has the money raising and campaign organizational skills that Newt doesn't have at all. Again, people are supporting the weaker candidate due to the media influence.
