WASHINGTON (MarketWatch) — The U.S. economy created 120,000 jobs in November and the unemployment rate fell to 8.6%, its lowest level in more than two and a half years, the Labor Department said Friday.
The reduction in the jobless rate, which stood at 9.0% in October, stemmed in large part from a decline in the size of the labor force. Some 315,000 people stopped looking for jobs last month, which is usually not a good sign.

Pesky facts getting in the way of her sheeple bleating,
"Do Nothing Congress"
"Nazi Republicans Who Only Care About The Rich"
Guess what Dems, politics is a little more complex than that bumper sticker on your Prius.
They never do... when LJ spends most of her time making things up and lying, it becomes an enormous task to juggle all those stories and deceits and machinations... it's not easy. And if she doesn't keep under them, well, it falls apart. Dropped balls.
the numbers drop cause folks gave up looking for jobs, are no longer on unemployment cause benefits ran out, and the Democrats celebrate that. Sad state of affairs
these numbers also do not take into account the very temporary holiday jobs that go away once the holidays are over. What still amazes me though, it that the Democrats continue to blame the Republicans for lack of job growth in this country. So what the hell did the Democrats to for the 4 years they had control of the house and senate and 2 years of that they had total control. They put this country even deeper in debt, gave money to companies that folded, gave money to corporations that now pay thier top excututurds, millions of dollars, and blame everything on everyone other than themselves, passed laws "that had to be passed just to see what was in them" per the idiot pelosi. Had a president that thought he needed to say "We are sorry" to countries that we owe nothing to. Made sure that the Presidents job bill did not go anywhere cause Reid knew there was no money to pay for it.

Stole my comments- LJ is so happy that the unemployment rate dropped without looking at the numbers- yea over 300,000 people ran out of benefits, and that's all the drop reflects.
Also- tis the season of temporary jobs that go away Jan 1. Lets see what the numbers look like at the end of January.

Well what do you know. Irrefutable proof that the less the general government does the better off the populace is. Simply by stopping the "progressive" Keynesian pump priming SwindleUs initiatives there is actually some progress starting to be made. Thanks for helping prove our point LJ - the less governing that goes on, the better off the populace is.

It's actually more sweet than you make it out to be. Like I posted on Page One of this thread, the GOP house has passed over 20 bipartisan job-creating bills, which the Democratic Senate has sat on. See

. The Democrats are helping LJ prove that less government leads to a better off populace. But when you live in an extreme partisan fantasy world like LJ does, you can't see the forest for the trees.
Funny how the "ones who gave up looking and dropped off the rolls" didn't seem to bother you during the 8 years when Bush only saw a 3-million-job increase...as opposed to the 23.1 million that were created under Clinton...
