House votes to block nonexistent farm dust rule

Oooooo... Here's another IMPORTANT bill from Boehner's Do-Nothings:

House votes to block farm dust rule that doesn't exist

WASHINGTON — The House has passed a bill to prevent the Environmental Protection Agency from cracking down on the dust kicked up by farmers, even though the agency says it wasn't planning any rules like that.

The idea that farm dust could be regulated as pollution has proved a popular topic on the campaign trail, riding a wave of anti-regulation sentiment. Republicans and some Democrats have told farm-state audiences that the EPA is considering a crackdown on farms. The agency issued a public statement in October calling that a "myth."

They don't have time to pass any bill related to creating jobs...but they have time to block a rule that didn't exist in the first place! Good job!

Next, they will pass a rule against inter-species relationships between humans and martians.... (Don't really need it, but you never know... You can't be too careful... Perhaps they can add it to the 'Defense of Marriage Act"?)

The EPA did in fact start work on a farm dust regulation, this is how out of control this agency is.
This did need to happen- despite your liberal naysaying- you socialists just want to raise the cost of operating any business.

Inhofe ?? rofllol

The rule didn't exist, and Inhofe is an idiot... (So are the people who believe his blather that it existed in the first place.)

They create outrages-of-the-day, then spend congressional time passing idiotic legislation to block something that didn't exist...

"There now... The mean ol' (non-existent) regulation has been defeated. Look how cool I am..."

The EPA has not proposed a farm dust regulation, that is how out of control Republican lies are. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-1 ... eview.html

So the GOP House does not have time to create jobs legislation, or to lower taxes on the lower 99%, but has time to spend an entire day on debating a bill that addresses problems that do not exist.

I hear an echo in here!

The rule didn't exist, and Inhofe is an idiot

Everyone knows the rule does not exist yet- this bill keeps the EPA FROM making such a rule- and guess what....

Obama has promised to veto it!

The White House said Wednesday that President Barack Obama will veto the bill if it comes to his desk.

Why? - Because the EPA has plans to make regulations against dust on farms- and Obama wants to do every possible to get in the way of business- otherwise why would he veto a bill that prevents a regulation on farm dust.

You liberals are very stupid!

The House GOP has pushed a host of measures this year aimed at weakening, delaying or scrapping environmental regulations, saying they view them as job killers.

"This bill is a strong step in the right direction to reduce regulatory uncertainty," said South Dakota Rep. Kristi Noem, the Republican sponsor of the farm dust legislation. She added that the EPA's words "are empty promises until we back them up with real action."

But it will keep the Looney-Tunes GOP from passing one.

If the GOP was wasting time voting on this bill to keep the EPA from regulating farm dust.....

Is Obama wasting his time when he pledges to veto it?

The EPA has been on a rampage since 2008 to regulate every source of particulate matter from just about every known source to man! This is widly known to be the truth LJ.

Only by wild-eyed hysterical Right-wingers that still see communists under the bed...

Which, apparently, includes you as well as Inhofe....

But that is a jobs bill. By helping to prevent farms from increasing regulation, farmers can afford to plant more seed and buy more equipment. Jobs bills aren't only defined by hiring union construction workers at triple the price to build bridges to nowhere.
