"In this special season of giving, Hollywood is willing to give people what entertainment executives think the country needs: a vicious, bloody takedown of Christmas. The December 11 episode of “American Dad” on Fox exemplified those with a complete absence of Christmas spirit in an episode titled “Season’s Beatings.”
Yep... I've noticed the REAL 'War on Christmas'...
The Real War on Christmas... by Fox News Jim Wallis Christian leader for social change
The Fox News Christmas heralds the steady promotion of consumerism, the defense of wealth and power, the adulation of money and markets, and the regular belittling or attacking of efforts to overcome poverty.
The real Christmas offers the joyful promise of peace and the hope of reconciliation with God and between humankind.
The Fox News Christmas proffers the constant drumbeat of war, the reliance on military solutions to every conflict, the demonizing of our enemies, and the gospel of American dominance.
The real Christmas lifts up the Virgin Mary’s song of praise for her baby boy: “He has brought the mighty down from their thrones, and lifted the lowly, he has filled the hungry with good things, and sent the rich empty away.”
The Fox News Christmas would label Mary’s Magnificat as “class warfare.”
So if there is a war on Christmas it's the one being waged by Fox News.

I expect you will as you like to repeat your self. Your link is interesting even though it does not present a single fact or example of what he alleges about Fox.
It might be a good op for a thread but as a response to the points the op makes it is pure deflection. But thanks for playing.
I would say it's only a war if you allow it to be. Frankly I simply don't define Christmas through all the symbolism and hype. If you allow the spirit of Christmas to reside in your heart (where it belongs) then who gives a crap what anyone else thinks? Non believers aren't likely to change so why bother beating your head against that.
Forget about what someone said, how some town council banned the Nativity Scene and things like that. Allow Christmas and God's love to reside in your world especially during this special season. That's all that matters. It's about belief and hope. Those who don't believe can go on and live their life.
I'm with you lionshead2010. The spirit resides in the heart. One needs only to look at the super santa threads or RAK threads to see the true spirit at work. Nothing can stop it, not even an ugly encounter with someone who got up on the wrong side of bead. All the time we hear about the poor and how they need our governmental help. BS. The help that is needed and can be given resides in all of us. Each of us to varying levels can help our neighbor in need. The neighbor need not be from your subdivision or immediate area either. That is the true spirit of Christmas and it can live on all year long. All the other symbology crap being harped on is irrelevant. Even if Christmas means nothing to you, then doing one small act of kindness (I would like to think) will warm your heart.
