Top Ten Reason we need to outlaw Christmas

The message is clear, and the need is urgent. In the name of tolerance, diet, abstinence, ecology, and all the rest, we must cancel Christmas – forever! Some will protest that the price in terms of civil liberties is too high, but I say, when it comes to ensuring that no one is ever offended (or bored), no price is too high! And if even one turkey is saved by the outlawing of Christmas, it will have been worth it.

You can easily cancel it for yourself. If you want to see enviromental damage, tell millions of children that there will be no Christmas this year, they will tear down the walls.

........because the kids are grown and my wife and I are gone! But our kids are still kids into their 40s so they have leased a place in Crested Butte for the holidays and we shall gather there for a week. Christmas is quite remote for them this year.

You are all free to do what ever the hell you want to do with Christmas. It will continue to live on with me and I would never do away with it. Regardless of how difficult a year may have been, how rich or poor you are, the spirit of giving of oneself, the effort to bring joy into another's life, the opportunity to be with family and laugh together, the amazed look of children when they hold a sparkler or see candles lit on a tree, the smell of baked goods and the relization that you have been fortunate in so many ways are all the things that bring more meaning to me than the commercialism, the countess church goers who show up one time each ear, etc. etc. So that is why I will keep Christmas as one of those special times each year.

You want to know the reason we need to outlaw Christmas? Because you folks can't handle it. You couldn't handle all the whiny kids, the screaming relatives, the drunk uncle(s), the shopping, the traffic, the travel delays... the... you couldn't handle any of it BECAUSE YOU HAVE ALL LOST YOUR SENSE OF HUMOR. Oh I don't think it's a matter of handling it. Let's face it. There is so much crap and negative BS constantly in the news and being posted on here, that a natural reaction is to pull in the opposite direction, especially when there is something that is dear to one.

Sometimes it is hard to have satire come through clearly and sometimes satire strikes a little too close to the truth.
