The final responsibility was his. He signed it. He blew it.

Um perhaps you missed my last post.

And in general, with the law, or govt, it is never over.

If he reverses it and no one gets locked up, all he did was waste some media and message board time. Plus I bet if Romney gets in, he will put the lockup rule back in....perhaps we should not give one person so much power, oh nevermind, lets give them more and then debate it, more fun.

Now we can focus on the next issue....like local "conservatives" and their leftist obsession with gas price controls because damn it, this issue effects them, so now it matters and morals, previous convictions be damned.

I have no idea what you are talking about.

The only "conservative" I know who is calling for gov. control of oil is Bill O'reilly and all the conservatives I know now regard him as an economically challenged idiot.

hello, our resident "conservatives" are pushing for govt influence on price and to allow some specific companies to have rights to do some big stuff vs. other companies. Very leftist. The reagan dude was talking about price controls to help tourism in the mts (actually wanting national policies because they would be good for CO), and GOPtwin started the thread, I think, that essentially complained because Obama was not controlling things his way. We have a lot of "conservatives" that want other people to do something different so that the "conservatives" lives get better - there is another group using this tactic.....OWS.

I will also point out that there are many "conservative" parents that are happy to accept money taken from their neighbors' againt their will to educate their kids....this amount is more than most families spend on gas. Most will not even honor their taking and leftist behavor with an explaination - they just deserve it and that is that. Conservatives around here love building codes, and zoning and lots of cops - all things that are not really needed, but the leftest world has you duped into thinking are part of the American Way. There is rarely a new law, or new restrictions, or buildings proposed, or new schools that are not passed locally by vote or by choice of the 100% Republican leadership.

At $10/gallon a family can still drive 20k miles a year for $5k....that is one half of what you take from your neighbor per kid each year for education.

So for most issues and when you add up the dollars, around here conservative is just a position slightly to the right of left, and only on some issues. Around here it is about taking from others, it is just a question of how much.
