Either way, thanks for the constructive clarification. I was merely calling bullsh**, that people are throwing around more tough words that they would likely not back up...and if you want to post something showing you sent funds or bullets to show me that my bullsh** call was infact bullsh** in itself, by all means go ahead. I bet if you do it and post it, you will make the news too. No biggies would be cool and make your point. .
Something tells me she would appreciate a gift cert to Olive Garden and a movie more though.

Case in point, what the hell are you talking about? Tough words? I said I can send ammo, it wasn't a sign of anything tough in fact it more so has to do with sympathy. I'm guessing you're one of those anti-gun types and considers firearms a thing of machismo or some crap like that.
Have you ever shot someone? Do you know the thoughts and feelings you go through in and after such a situation? Regardless someone's trying to harm you, if you take a life, those thoughts and feelings tend to linger with you for a VERY long time. You might even consider never picking up a gun again, and my sentiment was merely to help her mental justification of what she had to go through and the choice she made.
And making the news? Who gives a ferret's fuzzy pair about the damn news? You're aptly named that's for sure, eat your popcorn, watch tv, and live in the mediated world your brain seems soaked in. People can perform an act of kindness and NOT want to be in the spotlight for it.
Sadly this particular thread has degenerated into non-sense in this place. And still ironic that its membership base consists of those I live in close proximity to. What the hell is wrong with our community?.... Rhetorical question by the way, I'm out.
Badger, when you use a gun to defend your self that is one thing, when you talk about sending ammo to someone, or money to do so, you are stating that you agree with their actions (which I assume you would agree with, I do too), but that you are making it clear to all that you are in the group that is TOUGH enough to defend themselves. Mabye we just have different perceptions of what it means for someone to try and look tough. To me, when you point out the resources you have that can harm others...that is a sign of trying to be tough.
For example you could
1. put a sign in front of your house saying that this house (or your neigbors) is unarmed. - This is the opposite of tough or perhaps the toughest.
2. you could live in your house with or without guns and say nothing. - This house may or may not have a tough person in it, who knows.
3. you have guns, ammo and talk about it, even to strangers on the internet. - I am sorry, I perceive this as trying to be tough.
You could have said you simply supported the actions, she did what was right. You took it one more step and offered to send parts of lethal weapons to replace the parts of the lethal weapons that were expended when that woman defended her home/family. You made it clear you have these weapons. Perhaps I misread you and I appologize, I took it as you were trying to be make a point AND be tough, since you did not need to offer to send bullet to make your point, you added this extra bit.
But yeah, I am the problem around here. Pushing for lower taxes, less regulation and more personal rights, even gun rights....in stead of the taxes that help my group, regulations that help my group and taking away the rights of other groups....all these crappy actions locally constantly...and my mere opinions and comments are the local problem?

The suggestion that she would appreciate a donation of a meal out at Olive Garden was very insightful. Killing another human is the most traumatic event that can happen and I am sure that she is wanting to escape from thinking or being reminded of it. Bravo for that suggestion.
