A 39-year old woman, Lakeysha Beard, talked for more than half a day while on an Amtrak train going from Oakland, California, to Salem, Oregon. The loud cellphone conversation lasted sixteen hours last Monday, after which police stopped the train for twenty minutes to arrest the woman.

What the heck could anyone have to say in a phone conversation that could take 16 hours?!

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.

Why is it reported by a British newspaper and what does an Australian etiquette person have to do with anything? What law was broken?

I would like to know what kind of battery would allow a cell call that long?

Garbage in garbage out, I just post 'em as I find 'em. I will say that I have witnessed people on their phones in public places having conversations that no one else needs to hear and I find it annoying.

I can explain it to you but I can't understand it for you.
