When asked about his background, which includes a black father and white mother, Obama said of African-Americans: "We are sort of a mongrel people."
"I mean we're all kinds of mixed up," Obama said. "That's actually true of white people as well, but we just know more about it."
Something the Dog Dragged In will keep trying to tap dance, but it doesn't change the facts. Obama said it, Newt said it and I hope black leaders are saying it.
Once again you can keep spinning like a Maytag, but Newt's remarks denigrating African Americans as seeking food stamps instead of paychecks is racists, while President Obama's challenge to seek jobs to rise out of income inequality was aspirational.
