IQ measures intelligence, not knowledge (Intelligence Quotient). Ignorance is the state of being uninformed. You can be very intelligent, or have vast knowledge and still be ignorant of a certain topic, idea or concept. No. IQ is not a measurement of ignorance.

IQ measures intelligence, not knowledge (Intelligence Quotient). Ignorance is the state of being uninformed. You can be very intelligent, or have vast knowledge and still be ignorant of a certain topic, idea or concept. No. IQ is not a measurement of ignorance.

No. AN IQ is not a measure of knowledge. A very smart person with an IQ of a genius may be ignorant in many areas, just like a person with a low IQ. Let's take someone with a high and low IQ. neither of whom have been exposed to astrophysics. The person with the high IQ would quickly come to understand the topic of astrophysics whereas the low IQ individual would struggle to comprehend the basics, much less the nuances.
