I'm not trying to change your opinion of VL in any way -- I happen to agree with you that he's a fool, a buffoon, a jerk, etc. My only difference with you is your choice of words. Autism is a condition that is beyond the individual's control, as opposed to VL who deliberately behaves as he does.

A man has to know his own limitations, my brother didn't and boy did he pay..His x got a house and 4k a month FOR LIFE! He got in the rears one time and she had his passport made invalid..He was flying from Dubai to London twice a week and he couldn't go through customs..He slept in the terminal!..How would you like to see the captain of your (8 hour or whatever) flight wake up in the gate area and board the plane?

That applies even more to those of us that are teaching our children to be financially responsible rather than shirking debts.
You know if you don't play the angles in life youre a sap...And I don't think the banks that gave an 18 year old college student 70k in credit were being financially responsible either...Sure she has made over a million dollars modeling but she is just a kid.
