Sounds like you can still get out of paying under several circumstances, like bankruptcy and insolvency. So just get a good tax person to help out and avoid the "Tax Man" like in the Beatles song. LOL

And the banks are playing all the angles VL. They have none other than the US federal government guaranteeing them that they will get the money they loaned out back if your 18 year old college student doesn't willingly pay back that money. They really don't care whether it is your daughter or the federal government that gives them the money, but you can bet your last shiny Roosevelt fiat dime that they will get that money back from someone.Vice Lord wrote:
