Obama celebrates St. Patrick's Day At Pub

I can't believe how people can make an impromptu trip to a bar for a glass of beer into a political issue. What next, carping about dropping in unannounced at green energy companies and car manufacturers?

Like oil companies who get tax credits from the Feds?

Fred???

When someone overpays their taxes they get a refund. Aren't there people trying to call the oil companys' expense deductions subsidies.

Just to be clear, as I have said before, math is hard for Americans and they often don't understand it/avoid it. An American that is comfortable with basic math would take the 20 minutes it takes to estimate one's taxes in order to not give the fed an interest free loan all year....the same year that guy likely paid 20% on CC interest. Smart people with moderate incomes don't get refunds. Refund are for poor people that overpay and rich people that have complicated taxes that accidentally overpay.

If your taxes are somewhat simple (like most of your income come from one dude you work for) and you are getting any significant refund, you just lent the govt money all year for free just to avoid some addition...that I paid dearly to teach you.

I agree with GOPtwin, what does O'bama getting beer and the media covering have to do with anything? Isn't everything that every president does everywhere staged and coordinated, not fake, but pretty well thought out.

Let Obama have his staged beer. We know he would prefer an arugula salad and a nice Pinot Noir.

He hasn't been as liberal in office as his past would seem to say, but that is mainly because he is fairly incompetent at his job, and the voter in 2010 ran out his majorities.
