Sure, your Colorado insurance will cover emergencies if you are out of state, but not a doctor visit for a cut or a sore throat. If you are self employed and want or need to move to a different state your policy doesnt go with you. Getting a new policy means you can't have a pre existing condition or you wont qualify. Its time to make health insurance national not state specific.
Out of date info, Obamacare doesn't permit people to be denied coverage for pre-existing conditions. The nice thing about making the young and healthy buy insurance is that it spreads out costs for everyone.

Out of date? Wont it all go away if the Supreme Court throws out the whole law? Or even if they throw out the mandate insurance companies wont be able to afford to cover those with pre exiting conditions if they don't get lots of new healthy customers.customers?

Its funny you mentioned the car analogy. Try moving to California with an older non-California EPA certified car, you won't pass emissions and won't be able to register it. Same with motorcycles, my bike is not California certified. Can't move it there, not that I would want to.
Cali actually has their own models different from the other states. Check it out!

Republicans are red, democrats are blue, neither of them, gives a flip about you.
Actually, I did move to California in 1988 with a 1986 Corvette I purchased in Texas...It passed emissions, and I registered it with no problems. So much for another generalization.
1986 LOL, try it in 2012 with current models. California has their own car models (not sure all the years) with tighter state emission controls, its no secret, been that way for years.
Double LOL, LJ you are actually the one talking about a single instance and inferring a generalization.
