If the mainstream press did have proof about Obama and his time in Chicago bath houses, you know they would supress it. "It is none of our business". Twisted analogy time. The Secret Service works on the same code. In order to protect the President, they cover up his indescretions. Seems a little far for bodyguards, but I think the idea is, if he can't trust his security team to not blab, he will distance himself from them.
