LJ would be more of a social democracy advocate than a socialist. Funny though how she doesn't want the Catholic Faculty at Georgetown involved in her state's contraception policies, but welcomes their chiming in on other social welfare program initiatives.

I don't welcome them getting involved in ANYTHING that has to do with me. I'm pointing out the hypocrisy of Ryan trying to hide behind his "Catholic faith" while being told in no uncertain terms that he obviously hasn't got a clue what Catholic teachings are in matters of the needs of the poor, and his bullsh*t capitalism theology as expressed in his stick-it-to-the-poor budget is antithetical to the church's teachings, is immoral, and anti-Christian.

It's always entertaining to watch you try to suggest that I say things I didn't say, and think things I don't think, and want things I don't want. Keep it up, sparkie....

Nice try though.

Paul Ryan wants to trim government spending to 20% of GDP from Obama's 22%. Clinton and Gingrich had it at 18%. Clearly Ryan's cuts are to the bone.

And that has WHAT to do with Ryan's rebuke by the Catholic Church that his stick-it-to-the-poor budget is antithetical to the church's teachings, is immoral, and anti-Christian?

Maybe the church is writing with their heart instead of looking at the facts?

Maybe the church recognizes "capitalism-as-theology" bullsh*t when they see it. There IS NO biblical justification for screw-the-poor capitaliism.
