Think a gay VP choice would lose Obama voters among his base? Would energize the gay community to support Barack, but they already support him.
I have no idea. I was just commenting on a gay candidate for president. I thought my statement "America is not ready for a gay presidential nominee" was very clear.
Due to the progress homosexuals have made since Stonewall, I think you could see a homosexual President in 20-30 years. The younger generation seems to be much more tolerant.

Depends on when one worth electing decides to seek the job. We shouldn't be choosing a president based on their sex anymore than we should be choosing one based on their skin color, their sexual orientation, their religion, their "good looks", their oratory skills or anything else superficial. We should always be choosing the president based on policy, don't you think?

We should be. But it actually doesn't work that way. How few president even follow campaign promises?

do y'all really think that Hispanics would just vote for the Hispanic candidate even though Romney has taken a hard stance on immigration calling AZ's "papers please" a role model for the country? I don't think so. Romney does need a younger more in touch VP choice though.

SCOTUS should have it well defined in their decision so it might not be considered a hard stance. Rubio would fit the younger Latino and Latinos would vote for Romney/Rubio.

Well a white/black POTUS was elected on hope and change. Just promise them anything. Should work for a female just as well.
Many people don't have a clue what most presidential hopeful's policies might be. Sadly, good looks and oratory seem to resonate. Don't have to have brains. That's why we have the current state of affairs.

All ya gotta do is look at the videos of the last election, people voted for our guy because of color only. So yes I think the hispanic/latinos would vote based souly on that.
