Retired from working for others perhaps, but also a prime example of classic economic theory, what "progressives" think they are besmirching when they say "trickle down", at work. Capitalist entrepreneurial spirit at its best. Create something, sell it and use the proceeds to invest in something else. jmc's efforts resulted in something that someone else bought from him, presumably at a profit. Those efforts employed others to help take the thought into reality, and continue to do so. The more communitybound.com sites are sold, the more his idea "trickles down" into the economy, expanding the number of jobs, the number of people who are self employed, the amount of revenue raised through advertising and partnerships with local businesses - who advertise and partner with the sites because it helps their sales, which allows those businesses to earn a better profit, which could then be used to hire more workers or improve their own situation allowing them access to a better life they had than before, thus "trickling down" even more.

I'm sure that the current owner(s) of this site is glad that they had the opportunity for the ownership of the site to "trickle down" to them from the original owner(s) - and I'm betting that jmc is glad that his efforts allowed money to "trickle down" into his bank account too. I'm also pretty sure, given that jmc is actually good people, that he will be sharing, or "trickling down", some of the proceeds from his bank account with various charity organizations in the community - and that he will also be using some of the money to "trickle down" into his next good idea because he wouldn't want to risk losing the value of that money by not putting it back to work for him.

Yeah, that whole "trickle down" thing is a farce - right jmc?

Thanks PS you are 90% correct.
Those that have been lucky enough to have extra need to do what they feel right with their personal money.
Public policy needs to balance the public good, IMHO.
Not a perfect science but sometimes the balance matters.
Productivity gains in the economy have created a larger discrepancy in wealth. When the U.S. was a manufacturing country that was not a huge issue. Now it is . If you support the wealth gap, the cost is an increased social net for the displaced. Take your gains and pay the pittance that it requires. Stop the whining about taxes. It's the cost of doing business.
PS, I mostly worked for myself and my investors.

A little unsolicited advice here.....back off this jmc, Bear is the last person here I would want knowing anything about my finances or investments......there is something "off" about his posts and his attitudes. JMHO

So are you insinuating that based on posts that don't agree with yours, that somehow Bear is likely to be a thief? Once again you show your ignorant stripes.

The left is angry because they are now being judged by the content of their character and not by the color of their skin.
