Memorial Day, D-Day, Flag Day, Armed Forces Day, Veterans Day, July 4th...I think we ought to have something every 2 weeks.
I think they should combine Armed Forces Day and July 4th into one, Flag Day could be put in with the 4th also. June 6th is not a national holiday nor is Dec 7th, but I do believe those folks should be remembered.

Just FYI -Roughly 900 died in Operation Tiger. Thousands died on D-Day.
There are fewer of these brave men with each passing year. What they did was really amazing, how we're failing to honor them is shameful.
It’s D-Day and President Obama is hitting the beaches – of sunny California!
Instead of scheduling a brief event to mark the 68th anniversary of America’s brutal landing on the shores of Normandy, Obama is already on his way to San Francisco, where he will hold two fundraisers before moving on to Beverly Hills to stage two more.
Want the President to not campaign and fund raise? Demand campaign finance reform. Another problem with the Citizens United SCOTUS decision. President Obama has to raise funds to keep even with Romney. It's become almost as important as the issues to the politicians.
