Obama: 'The private sector is doing fine'

It's 2012 and the GOP has shown the world that their stated goal of destroying the country at all costs, if that's what it takes, is well underway. In my opinion, the GOP probably believes that if they just "update" the Bush/Norquist policies that have so effectively destroyed the economy of the US that "THIS TIME they will work". And they can put the Romney sociopath into office and it will magically "get better"...

can't wait for the right piggies to start whining if Romney wins, corp profits are at the highest og GDP since the 40's.

As I see it....if Romney should win, and the economy gets worse, unemployment rises, and we fall into another recession.....it will, of course, be Obama's fault. Then WE can play the "but he's not president anymore" and the right will indeed squeal like stuck pigs, and pretend that high unemployment, and recession are good for the country because they are cutting spending and firing teachers, firemen, police.....and who cares if crime rises, and homes burn, and there is no medic to tend to them when they crash their Mercedes, and the majority of kids in the US are failing, they have low taxes and that is all that matters.

Where we're seeing weaknesses in job growth have to do with state and local government, often times cuts initiated by, you know, governors or mayors who have to actually create and balance a budget... (unlike federal government) and who don't have the same ability to print money like the federal government to deal with fewer revenues coming in."

As much as you want to rip Republicans, more people were employed under "W" than Obama. I though full employment was the goal, but still more than 8% of us are unemployed, like reported above, corporate profits are high, and taxes on the rich are low. Should we put a (R) after Obama's name? :woo hoo:
